Karl W. Boer, Distinguished Professor of Physics and Solar
Energy, was appointed one of nine members of the advisory council
of the Photonic Center in Berlin-Adlershof, which advises on
policy and long-range planning for new industries in central
Europe in solar energy, laser technology and new materials.
Timothy Murray, library, was seminar moderator for "Locating
