Days of Caring in September

     Taking part in Days of Caring is another meaningful form of
giving to United Way, according to Julia Hamm, assistant to the
director of the University Library, who is coordinating the program.
Through Days of Caring, employees are linked with volunteer projects,
such as painting offices or repairing furniture, at United Way member
and affiliate agencies.
     Last year's Days of Caring in Delaware involved more than 3,000
volunteers, with 8,000 hours donated to 66 agencies and 17 local
companies for the completion of 379 service projects.
     University employees who benefit from specific United Way
agencies may wish to volunteer their services there.
