Classes set for young actors
     A series of Youth Acting Classes will be offered during a week-long,
intensive acting workshop, scheduled from July 31-Aug. 4, at the Unitarian
Universalist Fellowship on Willow Road in Newark.
     The sessions will help young actors exhibit creativity through theatre
games, improvisation, guided meditation and exercises that will focus on
each participant's unique and expressive self.
     Session 1, scheduled from 9:30-11 a.m., is designed for ages 7-10.
Cost is $75.
     Session 2, for students 11-14 years of age, will be held from 11 a.m.-
12:30 p.m. Cost is $50.
     The program will be conducted by Lori Bellamy, a certified teacher who
has taught acting classes and workshops for the Delaware Theatre Company
and Shoestring Productions of Brandywine Valley.

Space celebration scheduled Oct. 21
     The fifth annual "Celebration of Space: A Day to Explore Physics,
Astronomy and Space Science" will be held Saturday, Oct. 21, on the Newark
campus. Native Delawarean and NASA astronaut Maj. Nancy Currie will be the
featured speaker.
     Formerly called Space Activities Day at Delaware, the day-long event
will include presentations by NASA-Space Grant supported graduate and
undergraduate students, laboratory tours and demonstrations. There also
will be special programs for middle and high school science teachers,
undergraduate physics majors and faculty.
