Park by Phone

Registration of vehicles and the process for securing parking permits
will be simplified for University of Delaware employees this year. A new
Park by Phone system will enable employees to register vehicles using the
keypad on their Touch Tone phones, Maxine Colm, vice president for employee
relations, has announced.
Similar to the highly successful Flex by Phone system used this spring
for benefit re-enrollment, employees may use their phone to make
informational changes relating to a vehicle. If there are no changes in
registration information, the signing of a form will secure parking
registration for the 1995-96 year.
According to Colm, employees will activate the Park by Phone system
using a Social Security number and personal identification number (PIN)
from Aug. 1-11. New parking permits will be issued at the start of the
academic year. Material explaining the new system will be sent to each
employee this month.
Employees will be able to register for all current parking options
using Park by Phone, except for carpools. Individuals seeking to be part of
a carpool arrangement must contact Public Safety.
Parking rates for the coming year are Blue, free but restricted to
Blue lots at all times; Red, $65; Gold, $193; Gate-controlled, $350;
Reserved from 7 a.m.-5 p.m., $730; Reserved for 24 hours, $940; and
Motorcycle, $4.
