Scholarship to aid SDALL members

Charm Kirilla, a member of the Southern Delaware Academy of Lifelong
Learning (SDALL), has established the George Kirilla Jr. Memorial
Scholarship fund in memory of her husband. The fund will underwrite full or
partial tuition for needy current or prospective SDALL participants.
The Southern Delaware Academy of Lifelong Learning, located in Lewes,
provides opportunities for intellectual and cultural exploration for men
and women 50 years of age or older.
After the death of her husband in late 1993, Kirilla, who calls
herself a "constant learner," became engaged in many academy activities and
subsequently developed the fund to encourage others to seek the same
mental, emotional and social stimulation she has enjoyed in the SDALL
setting.
For information, call the Southern Academy of Lifelong Learning at 645-
4111. Scholarships are based strictly on financial need, and applications
may be obtained by contacting SDALL.
