Rocket builders earn thank you

     A group of mechanical engineering students recently received
special commendation from two teachers at the Richardson Park Learning
Center for special needs children.
     Cynthia Pochomis and Terry Celano wrote a letter to President
David P. Roselle praising the students who helped children at the
center with a rocket-building project.
     The participating UD students were project coordinator Eric
Nauman, Nik Bhate, Anitra Chandler, Jonathan Geraci, Brian Givens,
Karen Hada, Chris Hession, Jeff Lawrence, Scott Mishler and Mark
Zimmerman.
     The UD students attended four sessions and taught each child how
to build and launch a rocket. This is the third year of the program.
     According to the teachers, "In addition to sharing their
expertise, these young men and women treated our pupils with respect,
patience and exceptional kindness," making the children "glow with a
sense of accomplishment and the knowledge of a job well done. The
individual attention they received was a real boost...."
