     Thomas E. Pickett, Delaware Geological Survey, was elected a
     fellow of the Geological Society, London.

     Harold R. Raymond, Ted Kempski, Bob Sabol, Gregg Perry, Bryan
     Bossard, Otto Kneidinger, David Cohen and Tony Decker, physical
     education, athletics and recreation, presented the UD Football
     Coaching Clinic, April 21-22, at the Bob Carpenter Center and
     Delaware Stadium, attended by more than 600 coaches from
     throughout the nation.

     Ruth M. Jackson, English Language Institute, elected first vice
     president of Penn TESOL-East, the regional affiliate of the
     international organization Teachers of English to Speakers of
     Other Languages.

     Kevin N. Waninger, Student Health Services, was elected a fellow
     of the American Academy of Family Practice and the American
     College of Sports Medicine.

     Xiao-Hai Yan, marine studies, conducted a lecture tour of
     Japanese and Chinese oceanographic and environmental research
     institutions from April 13-May 8, receiving an honorary
     professorship from the National Marine Environment Institute and
     advisory professorships from the East China Normal University and
     the Tongji University.

     Adarshpal S. Sethi, computer and information sciences, served as
     co-chairperson of the program committee at the fourth
     International Symposium on Integrated Network Management, May 1-
     5, Santa Barbara, Calif.
