Lecture set today in Georgetown
     Mark McLeod, history, will narrate a slide presentation of
photographs taken in Vietnam between 1987-1995, from 1-2:15 this
afternoon in Georgetown.
     Entitled "Vietnam: xua va nay/Vietnam: Yesterday and Today," the
illustrated talk will cover such topics as regional diversity,
traditional religions and daily life.
     This presentation of striking photographs and an informative
discussion will be held in the Delaware Room of the Jason Building on
the Delaware Technical and Community College campus in Georgetown.
     The event is sponsored by the University Parallel Program and the
Department of History.

Fashion group to hold AIDS benefit
     The UD Fashion Group will present "Synergy," a show to benefit
the Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS (DIFFA) on Saturday,
May 18.
     The semiformal event will begin with a social hour at 7 p.m. and
a fashion show at 8 p.m., in the Amy E. du Pont Music Building. An
exhibition of student artwork and a raffle will precede the fashion
show.
     Tickets-at $10 for adults and $7 for students and senior
citizens-will be available at the door.

Senior class party Friday afternoon
     The second annual Senior Send-Off Celebration will be held from 3-
6 p.m., Friday, May 12, at Old College. Entertainment will be provided
by the rock groups, Mr. Greengenes and Mike Hines and The Look.
     Admission is free to seniors with a student ID and $2 for others.
All members of the UD community are welcome to attend.
     Refreshments will be available and participants may pay with
points, cash or FLEX.
     The Carpenter Sports Building is the rain location.
     Senior Day T-shirts will be on sale in the Purnell Hall courtyard
from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m., May 11-12.


BSU pageant is in Pearson Hall
     The Black Student Union will sponsor its annual pageant to name a
new Mr. and Miss BSU at 7 tonight in Pearson Hall auditorium.
     The event is open to the public, and admission is $2.
     A talent expo, featuring a cappella groups, rap, soul and rhythm
and blues performers, will be held during the pageant proceedings.
