'USA Today' founder to address the Class of '95
Commencement is scheduled at 9 a.m., Saturday, May. 27, in
Delaware Stadium, rain or shine.
Allen H. Neuharth, founder of USA Today, will deliver the
Commencement address before members of the University's graduating
Class of 1995 and their families and friends.
Neuharth built the nation's largest newspaper company and started
the nation's most widely read newspaper. He is a nationally known best-
selling author, a nationally and internationally distributed
columnist, a worldwide speaker and reporter, a frequent television and
radio talk show guest, the former chairperson and CEO of Gannett Co.
Inc. and currently is chairperson of the Freedom Forum, one of the
nation's largest private foundations with assets of about $700
million.
After the Commencement ceremony, individual colleges will hold
Convocation ceremonies throughout the campus. The Convocation schedule
follows:
Agricultural Sciences, 10:30 a.m., Mitchell Hall;
Arts and Science, 10 a.m., at two locations, with departments
beginning with the letters A-G in the Bob Carpenter Center
and departments beginning with the letters H-Z in the
Delaware Field House. For additional information, call 831-

Business and Economics, noon, Bob Carpenter Center;
Education, 2 p.m., Delaware Field House;
Engineering, 2 p.m., Bob Carpenter Center;
Human Resources, noon, Delaware Field House;
Marine Studies, 10:30 a.m., Lecture Room, Bob Carpenter Center;
Nursing, 10:30 a.m., Clayton Hall;
Physical Education, Athletics and Recreation, 11 a.m., Pearson
Hall auditorium; and
Urban Affairs and Public Policy, 11 a.m., Room 120, Clayton
Hall.
Degree candidates must wear academic regalia.

mid-July from the University registrar.
