     "Creating a World of Opportunities: Liberating People With
Disabilities Through Adaptive Technologies" is the theme of a
teleconference scheduled from 2:30-4:30 p.m., Thursday, May 18, in

compliance managers and others concerned with meeting the needs of
persons with disabilities, the Applied Science and Engineering
Laboratories at the University and A.I. duPont Institute are
sponsoring the teleconference.
     Topics include empowering persons with disabilities in school,
work and personal life; delivering better services for persons with
disabilities; breaking down social barriers to the use of technology;
complying with the Americans with Disabilities Act through provision
of adaptive equipment; planning and funding acquisition of equipment;
and finding resources for staying informed and learning more.
