New Small Wonder Workout program
Small Wonder Workout is a new incentive program at the Employee
Fitness Center.
Members of the Employee Fitness Center must register before May 1
to participate. Once registered, participants must work out at the
center at least eight times between May 1 and May 17, which is
National Employee Health and Fitness Day.
Each exercise session must be for at least 20 minutes, and
successful participants will receive a T-shirt.
According to Veronica Pick, UD fitness specialist, the incentive
program is called Small Wonder Workout because the eight days are
keyed to eight sites in the state of Delaware. Each time a person
arrives at the center to exercise, he or she moves a playing piece to
a new site on the map of Delaware.
The eight sites are Rodney Square (starting point), the
University of Delaware, Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge, Lums
Pond State Park, Dover Downs, chicken farms, the Cape May-Lewes Ferry
and Delaware Bay.
The giveaway T-shirt for successful participants proclaims: "I
Exercised My Way to the Bay on National Employee Fitness Day."
