Wellness works
After 20-plus years of smoking, I decided to give it up. The
advice from the American Lung Society was to fire up a new habit to
lose the old, and I decided to start a fitness regimen.
I used to start each morning with the newspaper, coffee and
cigarettes.
Now, I go to the Employee Fitness Center for a workout every
morning. I spent my Wellness Dollars to get a fitness assessment from
the staff, and Lynda Richmond helped me devise a customized fitness
routine. She's been very supportive and helpful. I also used Wellness
Dollars for locker and cotton service, with gym clothes
provided-another plus.
Not many others are in the Fitness Center early in the morning,
but when I visit it at other times, I'm amazed by how many people are
using the facility.
Quitting smoking and joining the Employee Fitness Center has been
one of the best, big changes in my life, and I am grateful to the
staff and enthusiastic about the whole program. The bottom line is
that I feel 100,000 times better than I did before."
