Online tips are here
     For your convenience, a number of new tipsheets to help with your
computing are available in U-Discover! You can get handy tips on
topics including backing up your files, creating World Wide Web
documents, using Mosaic and a host of other subjects right on your
desktop computer.
     Using gopher, you can reach the tipsheets by selecting:
         Computing & Technology
            Instructions, Tips and Answers
               Then choose a topic from the list below.
     Using a World Wide Web browser, you can reach the tipsheets by
     using the URL:

Download Performance Appraisal Templates
     Templates for the Employee Performance Appraisal Forms are
available electronically. Copies of the forms suitable for use with
WordPerfect 5.0 (DOS), WordPerfect 5.1 (DOS), WordPerfect for Windows
and Microsoft Word (Macintosh) are available in U-Discover!
     To obtain the files, use a desktop Gopher or WWW client. For
example, use Gopher or Mosaic from your microcomputer, not from your
MVS account. If you don't have Gopher or Mosaic, you can bring a
formatted diskette to the Smith Hall, Morris Library or Pearson Hall
computing sites to get the files.
     * From a Desktop Gopher Client Using HGopher, UGopher, or
       TurboGopher from your desktop system, follow this path from the
       U-Discover! gopher menu:
          Employee Information
          Professional and Salaried Staff Performance Appraisal Forms
     * From a Desktop WWW Browser: Using Mosaic, Netscape, or another
       desktop WWW Browser, follow this path from the U-Discover! WWW

     * The files are located in each of three directories:
          Forms for Use with WordPerfect 5.0
          Forms for Use with WordPerfect 5.1 and WordPerfect for
              Windows
          Forms for Use with Word (Macintosh)
     Each directory contains a file called "Read This First." Read
that file for more specific downloading directions for the forms you
need.
