On the job

     I like meeting new people, and this job is perfect for a people
person. The beginning of each semester is my favorite time because I
get to meet and talk with so many new people while I take their
pictures for their ID cards. One of the most interesting parts of my
job is getting an opportunity to talk with visiting research scholars.
Not only do I get to hear about the reason they are at the University,
but I also find out many different places to travel. Believe it or
not, there isn't a big problem with students losing their ID cards,
but there is one student whose record for lost cards is somewhere in
the teens. The funniest ID card story so far concerns a student who
lost the card somewhere in France. A few months later, the card made
its way back to Delaware and was given back to the student."
