Nomination deadlines for Alumni Association awards

     l to Robert.Davis@mvs.udel.edu. Deadlines are approaching for
three awards sponsored by the University Alumni Association.
Nominationd Alexander J. Taylor Sr. Awards are due March 15, and
nominations for the Milton L. Draper '22 Scholarship are due March 31.
     The Warner and Taylor awards were created to honor an outstanding
woman and man, respectively, of the senior class.
     The nominee must have a cumulative index of 3.0 or better at the
end of the first semester of his/her senior year and must have
demonstrated the outstanding qualities of leadership, citizenship, and
character exemplified by Mrs. Warner and Mr. Taylor.
     The recipients will each receive a $1,000 U.S. Savings Bond on
Honors Day, and will be invited to lead the procession of alumni
delegates at the 1995 Commencement ceremony. Additionally, their names
will be inscribed on plaques near the Alumni Room of the Perkins
Student Center.
     The Milton L. Draper '22 Scholarship is available to a full-time
junior or senior in the fall 1995 semester with at least a 2.5 grade
point average. They also must have exhibited outstanding performance
in fostering student-alumni interaction and exemplify characteristics
of leadership, dedication and enthusiasm for the University.
     The recipient will receive a $1,000 scholarship for the 1995-96
school year. The scholarship honors the former Alumni Association
president, honorary lifetime member of the Alumni Board and devoted
Sigma Nu fraternity member.
