Letter from the President

Dear Colleagues:
     The Christina School District has scheduled a $33 million bond
referendum for Tuesday, March 7. The purpose of the referendum will be
to finance the construction of two elementary schools, the renovation
of 13 older schools and the acquisition of technology hardware for use
in the classroom. State law disallows use of the bond referendum for
salaries or personnel positions.
     Newark High School and West Park Elementary School are the
polling places nearest the University. The polls will be open from
noon to 9 p.m.
     We encourage University colleagues who reside in the Christina
District to familiarize themselves with the facts about the referendum
and to participate by voting.
