Area dialing changes now in effect

     Dialing procedures for some local calls and all toll calls
originating from the Delaware area code 302 changed in early January.
The changes were made to alleviate the nationwide shortage of area
codes.
     Instate toll calls previously dialed on a 1 + 7 digit basis are
now dialed with 1 + 302 + 7 digits. In addition, all calls from the
Delaware area code 302 to another area code in southeastern
Pennsylvania are also to be dialed with 1 + area code + 7 digits.
Rates will not change for these calls.
     For directory assistance for numbers within the 302 area code,
dial 555-1212.
