UD students safe in Japan
The 13 UD students participating in a Winter Session program in
Kobe, Japan, with director Mark Miller, assistant professor of foreign
languages and literatures, are all safe on the campus of Shoin Women's
University. That campus sustained only slight damage during the recent
earthquake in the Kobe area.
There are no plans to return the UD group to the United States
earlier than its Feb. 3 scheduled conclusion of the program.
The Office of Overseas Studies, International Programs and
Special Sessions, has been in touch with Miller on several occasions
since the occurrence of the earthquake in the Kobe area.
