Wallet thefts

This photograph, provided by Wilmington Trust Company security,
depicts a wallet theft suspect in December 1994 trying to cash a
forged check at the bank's Newark Main Street branch.
During November, numerous wallet thefts occurred in academic and
administrative sites including DuPont and Evans halls, Brown and Sharp
laboratories and Willard Hall Education Building. Wallets have been
removed during business hours from unlocked offices and desks.
Possible suspects include an Asian female in her 30s, with
eyeglasses, medium-length, dark hair (layered and loosely curled); a
Filipino or Indonesian female, in her mid-20s, with a stocky build,
long black straight hair with bangs, about 5' 2".
The two women are most likely in the company of a male, since one
stolen wallet was recovered in a men's restroom.
Members of the University community should contact University
Police at 831-2222 if anyone matching the description of the suspects,
or anyone else, is seen loitering near University offices.
Remember to place valuables in a locked desk/closet, and lock
offices or laboratories left unattended.
