Dean honored by alma mater

     D Allan Waterfield, dean of the College of Physical Education,
Athletics and Recreation, was among eight former student-athletes
inducted into the Ohio Wesleyan University Athletic Hall of Fame in
October.
     A 1962 graduate of Ohio Wesleyan, Waterfield set a school record
when he swam on the 400 medley relay as a freshman. He set school
records in the 100- and 200-meter backstroke at the Ohio Athletic
Conference championships, finishing fifth in both events. He also set
school records in the backstroke, and, as a junior, he competed at the
National Collegiate championships.
