Special van added to fleet

The University fleet has added a new van that is equipped for
persons using wheelchairs and meets the Americans with Disabilities
Act requirements. The vehicle is regulation size, except for a raised
roof, and can hold two persons in wheelchairs, plus five other
passengers, according to Mark Tozer, service coordinator for the
University motor pool.
He is shown here demonstrating the van's features to students
Larry Henderson (left) and Christopher Coffee, who are members of the
campus organization, Warriors for Christ.
Equipped with lap belts and shoulder harnesses for all
passengers, as well as wheelchair tie-downs, the van has already been
in use serving the University community.
The van is available for student groups or faculty use and can be
reserved on a first-come, first-served basis by calling the motor pool
at 831-8471 or by e-mail @MPOOL.
