Honors newsletter wins award
The UHP Report, the newsletter of the University Honors Program,
was awarded first prize in the National Collegiate Honors Council's
newsletter contest at the council's October conference in Texas.
Established in 1966, the council is an organization of colleges,
universities, faculty, students, administrators and others interested
in supporting honors education.
Written by students in the honors program and edited by Katherine
Carter Kerrane, assistant director, the bimonthly newsletter has a
circulation of 1,600.
Each issue features articles about students and faculty in the
University Honors Program, announcements of upcoming events,
undergraduate research opportunities and a calendar of events.
For a copy of The UHP Report, contact Kerrane at 180 South
College Ave., telephone 831-2734.
