HRAA dedicates Alumni Room

The Alumni Room of the College of Human Resources was officially
dedicated at an October reception honoring donors, and was the site of
a Homecoming open house.
The project to create the room was begun four years ago by the
Human Resources Alumni Association (HRAA) during the college's 75th
anniversary celebration. The organization raised $75,000 from
individual donations and HRAA activities, such as its annual house
tour, the sale of miniature replicas of UD buildings and silent
auctions. Contributions of $75 were made by 197 alumni and friends of
the college, who will be recognized by a plaque in the room.
Designed to be a comfortable and attractive space for faculty,
students, staff and alumni, the room can be used as a study-site by
individuals or small groups, as well as for faculty and student
organization meetings and conferences, group advisement meetings and
receptions.
The alumni committee was chaired by JoAnn Shaw. Other members
were Martha Cook, Marla Dill, Virginia Pizzala, Karen Poore and Bette
Todd.
