Checking out the Mall
An immature, red-tailed hawk made a visit to the Mall near
Hullihen Hall late Friday afternoon, seemingly unconcerned by the
onlookers who gathered to watch the bird. According to Roland R. Roth,
entomology and applied ecology, the hawk is relatively common in this
area, although it is unusual that one would stay and be unaffected by
people gathering close by.
