'Visiting' scientists

On Halloween, several immortal scientists from the past made a
surprise appearance to students enrolled in the University's secondary
science education program. With help from the Department of Theatre,
(from left) Archimedes (Rennie Clements of Glasgow High School),
Benjamin Franklin (Bob Lewis of Hanby Middle School) and Galileo
(Scott Lykens of Caesar Rodney High School) were on hand to share
their scientific breakthroughs and inspire tomorrow's science
teachers. The high school teachers participate in the program through
a grant from the National Science Foundation.
