Public lecture
The Department of Educational Studies and the College School will
sponsor a free public lecture at 7:15 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 13, in Room
311 of Willard Hall Education Building.
Warren Ellis, a visiting lecturer, will speak about Secondary
Transition Planning, (Public Law 101-476) for handicapped students.
Transition services involve activities for a student that promote
movement from school to post-school activities and is important for
all special education students.
County Fair
The 1994 New Castle County Fair will run through Monday, Sept. 5,
at Delaware Park.
Fair hours are from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. on weekends; 4-10 p.m.
weekdays and 10 a.m.-dusk on Labor Day. Admission to the fair is $4
per day.
Featured activities include a petting zoo sponsored by the
University; a circus parade around the fairgrounds at 5:30 p.m.,
today; a performance by jazz singer Tony Grandberry at 8 p.m.,
Saturday, Sept. 3; and Laborfest, a celebration of working men and
women in New Castle County to be held the final day of the fair.

Library hours
Library hours for the period Sept. 6-Nov. 22 are 8 a.m.-midnight,
Monday-Thursday; 8 a.m.-8 p.m., Friday; 9 a.m.-8 p.m., Saturday; and
11 a.m.-midnight, Sunday.

Testing counseling
The Psychological Services Training Center and Department of
Psychology provides testing and counseling to children, adults and
families of staff members and those in the surrounding community.
Fees are based on income.
