Diversity workshops scheduled

The Commission to Promote Racial and Cultural Diversity will
offer "Welcoming Diversity" workshops for all members of the
University community.
Trained University faculty, staff and students will lead the
workshops using the National Coalition Building Institute prejudice
reduction model. The model offers each participant the opportunity
both to identify their individual interests and to bridge those
interests with the interests of others.
Both the half-day and one-day workshops effectively promote
bridge-building skills that are necessary to work constructively in
the face of diversity challenges. The workshops are participatory in
nature.
Individuals who wish to register for the "Conflict Resolution"
workshop, which will be offered in the future, are encouraged to
attend one of the "Welcoming Diversity" workshops first.
To register, University employees should return the form below to
the Office of Affirmative Action and Multicultural Programs, 124
Hullihen Hall; send e-mail to Gloria.Davis or leave a message on voice
mail at 831-8735. Registration is required at least one week prior to
the workshop.
