Employee Development
Listed below are the employee development classes offered this fall.
Early enrollment in a desired workshop will ensure a place in class. The
complete schedule of classes was published in the Sept. 9 issue of UpDate.

Communicating Standards and Objectives
The companion program to Setting Standards and Objectives addresses
discussion between a supervisor and an employee.
The training program provides practice opportunities for supervisors
to ensure that employees understand and/or agree with the performance
criteria that will be used during an evaluation. Participants must have
attended "Setting Standards and Objectives" and should bring completed
worksheets from class.

Location: Williamson Room, Perkins Student Center

Audience: Professional and salaried supervisory staff
Developing Your Resume
This class is an introduction to resume writing. The workshop focuses
on the resume as an employment tool, looks at different resume styles and
provides tips on information to include. Participants will use an outline
to assist in preparing a resume.
Date: Friday, Nov. 12
Time: 11:15 a.m.-12:45 p.m.
Location: Blue and Gold Room, Perkins Student Center
Deadline: Nov. 5
Bring a brown bag lunch.
Beverages will be provided.
Updating Your Resume
This class is designed for individuals who have a resume. Discussion
will focus on enhancing style, content and language. Particpants must bring
a copy of their resume to the session.
Date: Wednesday, Nov. 17
Time: 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Location: Blue and Gold Room, Perkins Student Center
Deadline: Nov. 10

To register for workshops, complete the e-mail form posted on the EMC2
Employee-Development Bulletin Board or reply from UNIX newsgroup
udel.employee. development to: Empldevreg@mvs.udel.edu, or call the
registration hotline at 831-8725. Participants will be notified of their
enrollment by a course confirmation letter approximately two weeks prior to
the workshop date.
