New chaplain appointed

     The Rev. Kempton D. Baldridge, a former U.S. Navy chaplain, has been
appointed as interim associate and vicar of University mission at St.
Thomas Episcopal Church in Newark.  Rev. Baldrige received his theological
training at Yale Divinity School and was ordained into the Episcopal
priesthood in 1989. He served on active duty as a chaplain in the armed
forces for more than two years in both Operation Desert Shield and
Operation Desert Storm. As associate priest, he will spend half of his time
working as vicar with the University Mission Board in the Episcopal
Church's work on campus.
