MS Bike to the Bay
     The annual MS 150 Bike to the Bay will be held Oct. 2-3 to benefit the
National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
     The ride begins in Smyrna Saturday morning and heads south to Dewey
Beach for an overnight stay. On Sunday, riders return to Smyrna for a total
journey of 150 miles.
     The cost of the event is $30 per person plus a minimum of $150 in
pledges.
     A team composed of University community members will be riding as the
"University Derailleurs." To support the University team, tax-deductible
checks may be made payable to the "National M.S. Society," and sent to
Jerry Hendricks, plant and soil sciences. All pledges will be split among
the team members.

B&G family buffet
     The Blue and Gold Club will hold its monthly Family Night Buffet from
5-8 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 6, in the main dining room. The menu will include
honey-glazed, roasted chicken, lasagna, homemade mashed potatoes and gravy,
hamburgers, broiled flounder, french fries, peas and carrots, warm rolls
and butter, crisp tossed salad, a pitcher of soda for each table and a
build-your-own-sundae bar with all the favorite toppings.
     Cost is $10.95 per adult, $5.95 per child (ages to 3 to 10) and free
for children under 3. The cost includes a 12 percent service charge. Club
membership is required. First-time members receive $10 off their first
year's dues.

Coast Day Saturday
     The 1993 Coast Day will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, Oct.
3, at the College of Marine Studies Complex in Lewes. Included in the day's
events will be the annual crab cake cook-off, the "muckless marsh walk," a
seafood demonstration for kids, marine critter learning tanks and tours on
two of the college's research vessels.
     Parking is $2, and admission is free. For more information, call

Symphony concert
     The Newark Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Roman Pawlowski,
will open its 1993-94 season at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 17, in Loudis
Recital Hall of the Amy E. du Pont Music Building. Featured on the program
will be Brahms' Variations on a Theme of Haydn, Op. 56a , R. Strauss' Horn
Concerto, No. 2 , featuring Cynthia Carr on the horn, and selections from
Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet Suite.
     Admission is $10 for the general public, and $8 for students and
senior citizens. Tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance by
calling 994-7596.

Peace Corps materials
     The Peace Corps will have an information table from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.,
Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 5 and 6, in the Student Center Concourse. Peace
Corps recruiters will hold a general information session at 7 p.m.,
Wednesday, Oct. 6, in the Kirkwood Room of the Perkins Student Center.
     Interviews for Peace Corps volunteer positions will take place on
Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 19 and 20. Students and staff may sign up for
interviews in the Career Planning and Placement Office.

Campus dating game
     Alpha Omicron Pi sorority will hold its second annual Dating Game Nov.
12 in Newark Hall. This event raises money for arthritis research.
     To contribute to this event, make checks payable to Alpha Omicron Pi
Foundation. Donations under $20 may be made in cash. All donations must be
