United Way to kick off in Lewes
University employees who work in Kent and Sussex counties- including
locations in Dover, Lewes and Georgetown-are invited to attend the
first-ever southern Delaware kick-off for the University's United Way
campaign.
The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 5, in Room 104,
Cannon Laboratory, on the College of Marine Studies campus in Lewes.
After a welcome and introductions by Charles E. Epifanio, associate
dean of the College of Marine Studies, President David P. Roselle will
officially open the 1993 University of Delaware United Way campaign.
A video, featuring several University employees and their volunteer
activities, will be shown. Marion Stewart, executive director of United Way
of Sussex County, will address the audience. Gary Simpson, assistant
director of University relations, will present the incentives being offered
to those who participate in the 1993 campaign.
Refreshments will follow the presentation.

The opening of the University United Way campaign for employees in New
Castle County is scheduled for Oct. 13.
