Ag college honored as mother-friendly site

     The College of Agricultural Sciences was among four employers
recognized by the Delaware Breastfeeding Advisory Board for its support of
breastfeeding and providing a mother-friendly workplace. This includes the
use of a private area, refrigeration for breast milk and a flexible
schedule that permits mothers to breastfeed. Two employees continued to
breastfeed their infants after returning to work, with cooperation from the
college.
     According to Maxine Colm, vice president of employee relations,
breastfeeding is an area where employees and supervisors can work out
arrangements on a case by case basis.
