Job Jamboree attracts 90 plus

     More than 90 businesses and organizations will be represented at the
University's annual Job Jamboree, scheduled for 1-4 p.m., Tuesday, Sept.
28, in Clayton Hall.
     The jamboree provides opportunities for seniors and Delaware alumni to
talk with potential employers. It also offers underclass students a chance
to investigate summer jobs and internships.
     Prior to the jamboree, the workshop "Getting The Most Out Of A Job
Fair" will be held on Friday, Sept. 24, at 2:30 p.m. in Raub Hall.
     This workshop will help job seekers learn how to "work the room" in a
job fair setting. Explanations of how to prepare, what to bring and what to
ask recruiters will be covered.
     Other highlights include "From Senior to Engineer: How to Turn
Interviews into Job Offers," from 7-9 p.m., Monday, Sept. 27, in 140 DuPont
Hall; a minority reception for recruiters and students from 11 a.m.-noon,
Tuesday, Sept. 28, in 106 Pencader Dining Hall; and "Interning Your Way To
Success," from 7-8:30 p.m., Sept. 28, in 006 Kirkbride Hall.
     Seminars scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 29, include "Agricultural
Science Job Search: Skills and Strategies for Success" from 3-4:30 p.m. in
116 Townsend Hall, "Women and the Job Search" from 3:30 -5 p.m. in 006
Kirkbride Hall and "Successful Interviewing Techniques" from 7-9 p.m. in
140 Smith Hall.
     Activities for Thursday, Sept. 30, include two seminars in Raub Hall:
"Resumes That Get Jobs" from 2-3:15 p.m. and "Beyond the Campus Interview
Program: Job Search for Arts and Science Majors" from 3:15-4:30 p.m.
