Dr. Kevin N. Waninger named new sports medicine physician
Dr. Kevin N. Waninger has been named the sports medicine
physician for the University's athletic program.
A native of Philadelphia, Waninger was director of the Student
Health Service at Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science.
He also served as an assistant professor of family medicine at
Cooper Hospital in Camden, N.J., and as a physician at Walson Air
Force Hospital at Fort Dix, N.J.
A 1979 graduate of Franklin & Marshall College, Waninger earned
his master's degree from Drexel University in 1983 and was graduated
from Temple Medical School in 1987.
His sports medicine background includes working with the athletic
departments of both Ohio State and Denison universities, serving as
team physician for the Philadelphia Freedom professional soccer team
and serving with the Pennsylvania and Ohio U.S. Amateur Boxing
Commissions.
