Football tickets
     Members of the University community may pick up their pre-ordered
season tickets for the 1994 Blue Hen football games at the Bob
Carpenter Center box office. The box office is open from 8:30 a.m.-5
p.m., Monday-Friday, including lunch hours.
     A University ID must be presented. Single game tickets for the
1994 season for faculty, staff and the general public will go on sale
beginning Aug. 1.
     Additional season tickets are still available. For more
information, call the box office at UD1-HENS.

Street closing
     The city of Newark has approved the closing of Academy Street for
the Colburn Lab project until Friday, Aug. 26. This will allow for use
of the roads when students arrive for the fall semester.
     Travel on Academy Street between Delaware and Lovett avenues will
be prohibited, with the exception of emergency vehicles. Local traffic
from Delaware Avenue to the Spencer Lab driveway will be permitted.
     Signs have been posted in the affected area.

New officers
     Newly elected officers of the University of Delaware Staff
Association are President Nancy Benderoth, provost's office; Vice
President Art Baeckel, mechanical engineering; Treasurer Nancy Davis,
political science and international relations; and Secretary Vicki
Taylor, entomology and applied ecology.
     Members of the University community are invited to attend the
group's monthly luncheons, held in the Perkins Student Center.
