Tuition increase announced

Tuition for full-time undergraduate and graduate students at the
University for 1994-95 will be $3,690 for Delawareans, an increase of
3.9 percent (or an additional $140), and $10,220 for non-residents, an
increase of 5.9 percent (an additional $570).
"I am pleased that we have been able to hold our tuition increase
to the lowest in several years," University President David P. Roselle
said. "Over the last three years, we have been extremely conscious of
cost-containment issues, and this year's increase reflects both the
results of careful management and improved support from the state of
Delaware.
"In fact," Roselle said, "this is the third consecutive year in
which tuition increases for both resident and non-Delaware students
have decreased while financial aid has increased. The University of
Delaware provides a high quality education and one that is
increasingly cost competitive."
Full-time graduate tuition is the same as that for
undergraduates, with the exception of those pursuing the master of
business administration (MBA) degree. New full-time MBA tuition is
$4,642 for Delaware residents, an increase of 3.9 percent ($176), and
$10,220 for non-residents, an increase of 5.9 percent ($570).
