Barbara Kelly is '94 pathfinder

     Barbara Kelly, professor in the College of Physical Education,
Athletics and Recreation and co-chairperson of the University Women's 25th
Anniversary Committee, received the National Association for Girls and
Women's Sports Pathfinder Award April 15, presented in Denver at the
national convention of the American Alliance for Health, Physical
Education, Recreation and Dance.
     The Pathfinder Award recognizes individuals who advocate, recruit and
enhance opportunities for girls and women in sports leadership in their
respective states. Barbara Viera, the University's women's volleyball head
coach, won the award in 1991.
     Kelly presided over the annual meeting of the International
Association of Physical Education and Sports for Girls and Women during the
convention, and she was elected to a four-year term as a U.S.
representative of the organization.
