Salaried staff bulletin board

     A new bulletin board on EMC2, named the Staff Communication Network
(StaffComNet), provides a forum for dialog among salaried staff at the
University.
     Employees are encouraged to read the entries and submit information
regarding events, activities, services and procedures. Individual users may
submit news items and, through the system, participate in roundtable
discussion and brainstorming session.
     Ideally, staff employees will be able to share ideas, problems and
solutions that are of interest to other staff members.
     The system also is ideal for timely communication between Salaried
Staff Advisory Council (SSAC) representatives and their constitutents.
     Although the focus of the service is directed toward salaried staff
members, participation is available to all members of the University
community.
     The bulletin board is sponsored by the Commission on the Status of
Women and the SSAC.
     To submit an item, use Quickmail. In the "To: field," type the name of
the bulletin board: StaffComNet
     Fill in the "Subject: field" and type the body of the message in the
standard fashion. To send, use the PF4 key (Mail).
     Messages will remain on the system for 30 days, or until they are no
longer relevant.
