Health professionals, civic leaders in nursing group
Seventeen health care professionals and community leaders from
throughout Delaware serve on the University of Delaware's College of
Nursing Visiting Committee, which provides advice to the college on current
and future activities in the areas of teaching, research and outreach.
Appointed by Andrew B. Kirkpatrick Jr., chairman of the University's
Board of Trustees, in consultation with Betty J. Paulanka, dean of the
College of Nursing, the committee also works to develop better community
understanding of the college's mission and its services and provides
support for college activities.
"The insights and perspectives supplied by the distinguished members
of the Visiting Committee form an invaluable resource for the College of
Nursing," Paulanka said. "Their input is central as we strive to provide
quality education to our nursing students, to expand knowledge of health
care and nursing science through research and to serve the health needs of
society."
