Faculty Senate elects vice president
At the first Faculty Senate meeting in 1993-94, Interim Provost
Richard Murray gave a statistical overview of international programs at the
University, which have shown continual growth during the past years, except
during the Gulf War when some programs were canceled.
Also at the Sept. 6 meeting, Thomas Angel, professor of mathematical
sciences, was elected senate vice president, and Frank Dilley, chairperson
of philosophy, was named chairperson of the Committee on Committees and
Nominations.
After a discussion of the proposed amendments to the Faculty Handbook
pertaining to examinations and tests, it was decided to send the amendments
back to committee for further clarification and rewording.
