Bike to work
Employees are encouraged to participate in "Bike to Work Week," May
15-22. Part of National Transportation Week, "Bike to Work Week" encourages
employees to try bicycle commuting, an efficient, economical and healthy
alternative to driving to work.
This event is sponsored by DelDOT, WilDOT, White Clay Bicycle Club,
Transportation Management Association of New Castle County and Shimano
America Corp.

CREF offer
Effective July 1, CREF will expand the range of investment choices by
adding two new equity funds the Growth Account and the Equity Index
Account.
The Growth Account will invest in common stocks selected for
above-average potential returns. The Equity Index Account will invest in a
diversified portfolio tracking the overall U.S. stock market.
Both accounts can be used for accumulating and receiving retirement
income. They also will have the same allocation, transfer and benefit
payment options as the other CREF funds.
Blue-White game
The Blue-White spring football game scheduled for Saturday, April 30,
at Delaware Stadium has been moved to a 1 p.m. start, not 2 p.m. as
originally scheduled.
Art show and sale
"Delaware's Best," an art show and sale will be held from noon-5 p.m.,
Sunday, May 1, in Clayton Hall.
A special exhibit of selected art from local corporate collections
will be on display. Proceeds from this event will benefit United Cerebral
Palsy of Delaware Inc. For information, call 764-2400.
Campus bond drive
The U.S. Savings Bond annual campaign is being held on campus through
April 29. For information on the bond program, payroll deductions and

Diversity seminars
The Office of Affirmative Action and Multicultural Programs and the
Commission to Promote Racial and Cultural Diversity have scheduled a series
of diversity workshops in the Perkins Student Center.
The May presentations will occur on Wednesday, May 3, in the Rodney
Room; Saturday, May 7, in the Ewing Room; and Friday, May 13, in the Rodney
Room.
The June programs will be held Monday, June 6, and Friday, June 10,
both in the Ewing Room.

Preschool reception
The University's Laboratory Preschool will hold a reception, open to
the campus community, to celebrate its recent accreditation from the
National Association for the Education of Young Children and its new
playground. The reception will be held from 3-5:30 p.m., Monday, May 2, on
the playground, which is adjacent to Alison Hall.
