Charlene Jaeger selected for Bryn Mawr summer institute
Charlene Jaeger, assistant to the vice president for student life, has
been selected to attend the Summer Institute for Women in Higher Education
Administration, to be held this summer at Bryn Mawr College.
The four-week program offers women faculty and administrators
intensive training in educational administration. The curriculum prepares
participants to work with issues facing higher education.
Now in its 19th year, the institute's objective is to improve the
status of women in the middle and executive levels of higher education
administration.
Jaeger came to the University in 1978 as an admissions officer and was
promoted to associate dean of that office. In 1988, she moved to the office
of the vice president for student life. She received her doctoral degree in
educational leadership at the recent Winter Commencement.
Jaeger said her attendance at the upcoming institute will allow her to
focus on the important issues facing higher education with other women from
across the country who represent a range of viewpoints.
The institute will offer excellent opportunities for her to establish
new professional contacts and energize her career goals, she said.
