     Several members of the University staff made presentations at the
     Harco User Conference March 23-27 in Scottsdale, Ariz. Ethel Alderson,

     network and systems services, "System Administration Advanced";  and
     Richard Bowman, assistant vice president's office, "Marketing Your
     Campus-wide Card." The University was awarded "best new idea award" at
     the conference for interactive voice response to suspend an ID card,
     account balance and PIN validation.

     Window-Dressing Through Loan Loss Reserves by Large Federal Reserve
     Regulated Banks," at  American Accounting Association, mid-Atlantic

     John B. Bishop, counseling and student development, appointed to a
     second three-year term on the editorial board of Journal of College

     Ethel Alderson, registrar's office, elected to the Harco User Board

     that supplies the University with ID Systems software.
