Campus know-it-all: Channel 2

     The know-it-all on campus is UDTV's Channel 2. It tells resident
students the latest on what's happening, from registration deadlines and
housing information to Fightin' Blue Hens  scores, and news about lectures,
student activities and campus entertainment. All it takes is a flick of the
switch to be up to the minute.
     Channel 2 is a cooperative venture. The information is compiled and
prepared by the Office of Public Relations and is uploaded and programmed
into the campus network by the Instructional Television unit of University
Media Services.
     The program, which runs 24 hours a day, is updated daily.
     In several instances this year, such as during the snow closing or the
evacuation of Christiana Tower, Channel 2 proved invaluable in reaching
students. New software on order will enhance the look of Channel 2,
providing more options for graphics.
