Family buffet
The Blue and Gold Club's Family Night Buffet will be held from 5-7
p.m., Wednesday, March 2. The menu will include barbecued chicken and
cheese ravioli.
Cost is $10.95 for adults, $5.95 for children ages 5 to 11 and free
for children under 5.
Membership is required and all University employees are eligible. Dues
are $25 until June 30. Call UD1-CLUB for an application or to make
reservations.
Gardens' plant sale
The University of Delaware Botanic Gardens will hold a plant sale from
10 a.m.-3 p.m., Saturday, April 23, (Ag Day) and from 1-4 p.m., Sunday,
April 24, on the College of Agricultural Sciences grounds. A pre-sale event
is being held until March 15. Proceeds will help fund horticulture student
internships, educational programs and improvements at the Botanic
Gardens.

Annual house tour
The College of Human Resources Alumni Association will hold its annual
house tour from noon-5 p.m., Sunday, April 24. Twelve homes in the Newark
and Cecil County areas will be featured. A variety of types of homes will
be represented.
Advance tickets, which will be available beginning March 24, cost $10.
Tickets also may be purchased the day of the tour for $12. Proceeds from
the tour provide for scholarships and special projects for the college.

ROTC scholarships
Two-year Army ROTC scholarships worth up to $9,950 each are available
to students graduating in May 1996. These scholarships are worth up to
$9,950 per for two years.

Peace Corps visit
An information meeting discussing agriculture programs related to the
Peace Corps will be held at 7 p.m. in Worrilow Hall. This is a room change
from what was reported in last week's UpDate. For more information, call

Alumni scholarships
The College of Education Alumni Association will award two $1,000
tuition scholarships and one $800 tuition scholarship to undergraduates who
exhibit exceptional promise as future educators.
Applications may be obtained by contacting William B. Keene in 131
Willard Hall Education Building at 831-6205. Application deadline is Feb.

Washington shuttle
The shuttle to the Library of Congress and the Washington Folger
Institute in Washington, D.C., is operating on Fridays each week.
Reservation must be made by noon on Thursday with Joann Civarelli or
Darlene Reynolds in the Department of English, telephone 831-2361.
Open house
Prospective students will be able to visit the College of Engineering
during the annual open house on Saturday, Feb. 26. The program will begin
at 11:30 a.m. in Newark Hall auditorium.
Students and their families will have the opportunity to visit two of
the college's four departments--chemical, civil, electrical or mechanical
engineering. Faculty and students of each department will lead the guests
on tours and demonstrate current research projects.

College School event
The College School will hold its parent meeting at 7 p.m., Tuesday,
March 1, in Room 313 Willard Hall. Charles MacArthur, assistant professor
in educational studies, will speak about learning disabilities. Guests are
welcome.
