Nominations due for annual Alumni Association awards

     Nominations are now being accepted for the annual Emalea Pusey Warner
and Alexander J. Taylor Sr. awards to the outstanding senior woman and man
and for the Draper Scholarship, which honors the late Milton L. Draper,
former Alumni Association president.
     To be eligible for Warner/Taylor award consideration, nominees must
have a cumulative index of 3.0 or better at the end of the first semester
of their senior year and must demonstrate outstanding qualities of
leadership, citizenship and character.
     Each award consists of a $500 U.S. Savings Bond, presented on Honors
Day. The recipients also will be invited to lead the procession of alumni
delegates at the 1994 Commencement on May 28.
     Warner and Taylor award nominations must be received by 5 p.m.,
Monday, March 21.
     A Draper award nominee must be a full-time junior or senior in the
fall of 1994, with a minimum 2.5 grade point average. Students must exhibit
outstanding performance in fostering student-alumni interaction and provide
strong leadership, dedication and enthusiasm for the University.
     The recipient will receive a $1,000 scholarship for the 1994-95
academic year. The deadline for receipt of completed application/nomination
forms is Tuesday, March 15.
