Seven diversity workshops scheduled during fall

     The Diversity Education Task Force of the Commission to Promote Racial
and Cultural Diversity will sponsor a series of "Welcoming Diversity"
workshops this semester for the campus community.
     The one-day, experiental workshops will show participants how to
identify misinformation, heal emotional wounds resulting from mistreatment
and challenge various forms of discrimination.
     Full-day sessions will be offered throughout the semester. Weekday
workshops are scheduled from 8:30 a.m.-4:15 p.m.;  Saturday workshops will
be held from 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
     "Welcoming Diversity" is a workshop developed by the National
Coalition Building Institute (NCBI). Workshops are free and open to all
members of the University community. Participants should plan to eat lunch
together.
     Depending upon the particular workshop location, lunch can be
purchased. Beverages will be provided.
