Financial workshops
Benefit Concepts, a financial planning firm, will present a series of
personal investment workshops-with particular focus on 403(b) options-for
University personnel at 4:30 and 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday and
Thursday, Feb. 22-24, in the President's Room of the Blue and Gold Club.
According to Bradley A. Barrows, president of Benefits Concepts, the
prior programs the firm has offered on campus concentrated on financial
planning. This month's new programs will highlight risk reductions for
individual investors.
The risk reduction option that will be highlighted is designed
primarily to maintain consistent returns and eliminate most of the down
trends. In fact, Barros said, "The program that we have used has missed
every market decline exceeding 7 percent since it's inception, and yet has
still performed in a way that meets investor's expectations," Barros said.
Because of the large response expected for this risk reduction option
and the new seminar series, Benefit Concepts will be offering six seminars
to University employees during the three-day period. For reservations call
(800) 732-4354.
Washington shuttle
The shuttle to Washington, D.C.-to the Library of Congress and the
Folger Museum-will operate during the spring semester on Friday of each
week.
Reservations must be made by noon on Thursday with Joann Civarelli or

Days, its annual fundraiser. Individuals may help fight cancer by
purchasing daffodils.

delivered free of charge on March 18. To order daffodils, call the American
Cancer Society at 324-4227 in Wilmington; 734-7431 in Kent County; and

Valentine meals
