United Way over the top; incentive recipients named
The University exceeded its 1993 United Way goal of $140,000 by
$24,699, President David P. Roselle announced at the January reception for
1993 United Way Volunteers, held at his home.
Joyce Dennis, employee services, and Debbie Dintenfass, benefits
services, co-chaired the campaign.
The following incentive awards were announced at the event:
James Mason, plant operations-Freeport Fling;
Victor Martuza, educational studies-New York trip;
Eugene Dean, public safety, dinner at the Blue & Gold Club;
Nicholas Heesters, Networks and Systems services, and Lisa Ann
Plowfield, nursing-one-year memberships to Blue & Gold Club;
Robert Hannah, intercollegiate athletics-$25 gift in UD Dining Flex
Dollars;
Judy Anne Celli, foreign languages and literatures-A Taste of
Brandywine membership;
Nora Rooney, geology-family membership to the Delaware Nature
Society;
Diana DiLorenzo, graduate studies, and Virginia McHugh, English
Language Institute-linen services at Carpenter Sports Building;
Phyllis Cohen, dean of students office, and Wendy Groce,
registrar's office-skating passes for the ice arena;
Sharyn Bressler, intercollegiate athletics-outdoor pool family
membership;
Deborah Rae, library, and Josie Williamson, library-U.D. sport
shirts;
Suzanne Sembiante, billing and collection, and Michael Klein,
chemical engineering-U.D. T shirts;
Shirley Carter, nursing, and Scott Eatough, intercollegiate
athletics- gift certificate for a performance at the Bob
Carpenter Sports/Convocation Center;
Katrien Christie, foreign languages and literatures-tickets for two
performances during Professional Theatre Training Program season;
Sharon Dorr, admissions-weekend at Virden Center;

Richard Zipser, foreign languages and literatures-Gold parking
