In memoriam

     Psychology professor and former department chairperson Ralph V. Exline
died Dec. 18 of cancer at his home in Newark.
     Dr. Exline came to the University in 1954 as an assistant professor of
psychology. He was chairperson of the Department of Psychology from
1973-78, served as Department of Linguistics acting chairperson from
1987-88 and was interim psychology department chairperson from 1992-93. A
memorial service was held Jan. 4 in Mitchell Hall.
     Contributions in Dr. Exline's name are being accepted by the
Department of Psychology. Donations should be sent to the department's
chairperson, Evelyn Satinoff.
